The main task of a mentor is to assist a candidate in: choosing and defining the topic of his/her doctoral dissertation; analysing credibility of the doctoral thesis; profiling the curriculum of doctoral study programmes; defining pedagogical and didactical specificity of individual doctoral study programme; study organisation and performance; choosing seminar papers; methodological profiling of approved topics; defining, organising and conducting research during doctoral studies; selecting primary and secondary literature as well as other relevant sources necessary for successful completion of work; coordination with the Commissions involved during different stages of doctoral studies; revising the dissertation through stages; revising the final version of work; preparing a candidate for the dissertation defence.
Mentors can be any associate or full professors in narrow scientific field addressed in the dissertation who are employed at the University. Furthermore, mentors can be professors emeriti or visiting professors.
