Upon completion of any study programme offered by the University Faculties, students will be trained and have competencies to perform the following tasks:
1.FACULTY OF BUSINESS ECONOMICS
1.1.Study programme: Entrepreneurial Management
Upon completion of this study programme, students gain knowledge in the following fields: entrepreneurship; management; business planning, organization and control; business decision making; price formation; international trade; starting and development of small businesses; project management.
Students will be trained to develop competencies in order to perform the following tasks: managing production, trade and hospitality enterprises;planning assortments; starting and developing small and medium businesses; initiating and developing business ideas; business economics; business planning and organization; managing business enterprises, production enterprises and hospitality enterprises.
1.2.Study programme: Marketing Management and Trade
Upon completion of this study programme, students gain knowledge in the following fields: marketing activity development and strategy; business and enterprise management; international marketing; sales and purchase; international entrepreneurship; economic propaganda; consumer behaviour; customer communication.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: sales and purchase;market research;economic propaganda;price formation;decision making on distribution channels;public relations; product development and branding; retail, wholesale, export-import.
1.3.Study programme: Finance, Banking and Insurance Management
Upon completion of this study programme, students gain knowledge in the following fields: quantitative and qualitative knowledge within the areas of public and business finance, banking and insurance; control and analytical activities in the previously mentioned areas; financial management in business; stock exchange.
Students will be trained to develop competencies in order to perform the following tasks: analysis and planning;credit operations; investments;collection of claims and payments;brokerage;insurance and reinsurance;budgets.
1.4.Study programme: Accounting and Auditing Management
Upon completion of this study programme, students gain knowledge in the following fields: accounting and auditing; bookkeeping services; creating income statements and balance sheets, financial accounting organization, accounting management, business management audits.
Students will be trained to develop competencies in order to perform the following tasks: accounting;accounting sector management; creating financial statements;auditing;accounting of business changes;business planning and analysis;budget operations.
1.5.Study programme: Tourism and Hospitality Management
Upon completion of this study programme, students gain knowledge in the following fields: theoretical and professional knowledge of analytical and managerial activities in tourism and hospitality enterprises; travel agencies and tour operators businesses; tourism market research; international tourism; tourism planning and development; management of hospitality enterprises; tourism geography.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: research and planning of touristic activities;travel agency operations;deciding on touristic destinations;advertising of hotels and hospitality enterprises in general;travel agency management;destination marketing organization.
1.6.Study programme: Public Service and Administration Management
Upon completion of this study programme, students gain knowledge in the following fields: public service organization; businesses in the field of health care, education, science, culture and sport; management of social security and pension funds; organization of state, entity, cantonal and municipal administrative bodies; NGOs and civil service; budget operations.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: economic, managerial and administrative activities in the field of public service and administration;economic, managerial and administrative activities in the field of education, healthcare, culture and sport;economic, managerial and administrative activities in the field of social security and NGOs.
1.7.Study programme: Agricultural Management
Upon completion of this study programme, students gain knowledge in the following fields: analysis and design of agricultural policy for rural development and modelling of agribusinesses; academic skills related to the organization of work processes in the field of agriculture, farm management and food industry as well as making optimal business decisions based on information regarding agricultural food products market.
Students will be trained to develop competencies in order to perform the following tasks: agricultural management – management, finance, marketing, planning and development of agricultural management and food products;activities related to production, commercial and service companies involved in agriculture; development organizations, banks, chambers and other associations related to agriculture.
2.FACULTY OF LAW
2.1.Study programme: Common Law
Upon completion of this study programme, students become familiar with the field of common law and basic methodology of legal profession, as well as with various laws in different legal areas related to state legal affairs, property and legal affairs, criminal and legal affairs.
Students will be trained to: assist in the process of resolving legal affairs through the courts; work in law firms and with lawyers;work in public service and administrative bodies;work in the field of healthcare, banking, education.
2.2.Study programme: Business Law
Upon completion of this study programme, students acquire knowledge in the field of common law (the basics of Roman law, state law, constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, etc.), but the focus of their education is placed on business law where students become familiar with financial law, law of obligation, labour law, commercial law, banking law.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: legal affairs concerning various production and trading companies, banks, insurance companies, chambers of commerce;legal affairs resolved through the courts;legal affairs dealt with by law firms and lawyers where the focus is placed upon business law and business and labour disputes.
3.FACULTY OF BUSINESS INFORMATICS
3.1.Study programme: Business Informatics
Upon completion of this study programme, students will possess combined knowledge and skills in the fields of business and applied business informatics; students will become familiar with modern solutions for applying information and communication technologies, IT solutions, computer graphics and design.
Students will be trained to develop competencies in order to perform the following tasks: management of information systems;use and application of modern information technology;implementation and development of information systems;integration of business and informatics;application of business informatics in production companies, trading, tourism and hospitality, administrative bodies and public sector.
3.2.Study programme: Informatics- Teacher Training
Upon completion of this study programme, students will possess combined knowledge and skills in the field of informatics and teaching information technology to future users. Students will become familiar with the use of modern information technology, IT solutions, computer graphics and design, teaching skills.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: teaching and educational activities in various high schools;training of employees in companies, administrative bodies, public services such as hospitals, schools, healthcare, social security, NGOs.
3.3.Study programme: Information Technology
Upon completion of this study programme, students will possess knowledge and skills related to information technology, particularly from the point of applying modern informatics, and implementing and upgrading of information technology in a broad spectrum of activity: production, trading, banking, administrative bodies, and public services. Students will acquire knowledge in the field of information technology, with the emphasis placed on the implementation, upgrading and creation of information processes and flows.
Students will be trained to develop competencies in order to perform the following tasks: design and development of information technologies and their applications in a wide range of services and activities such as production, economy, administrative bodies, services;managerial and leadership roles related to business information systems.
4.FACULTY OF HEALTH CARE
4.1.Study programme: Nursery
Upon completion of this study programme, students will acquire knowledge in specialist areas such as intensive medical care, urgent care, medical care of infectious patients, internal medicine, postoperative care, gynaecologic care, nursing care of patients suffering from different diseases.
Students will be trained to develop competencies in order to perform the following activities: professional activities of medical technicians/nurses;providing all types of health care;other professional activities such as radiology assistants, dental assistants, surgical assistants as well as assistants in therapeutic and diagnostic procedures;management activities.
4.2.Study programme: Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy
Upon completion of this study programme, students will acquire knowledge regarding physical therapy, kinesiotherapy and physiotherapy, specialist physiotherapy in surgery, orthopaedics, traumatology, rheumatology, occupational therapy.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: professional activities of physical therapy and occupational therapy;activities performed by medical massage therapists, sports therapists and spa therapists;professional activates related to working in hospitals, spa centres, private medical and physiotherapeutic institutions and rehabilitation centres;managerial and organizational tasks related to physical therapy facilities.
4.3.Study programme: Health Care Management
Upon completion of this study programme, students will acquire knowledge regarding the management of health care facilities, planning and organization of health care services, management of the health care institutions, basics of the health care services, nursing, physiotherapy, and sanitary engineering.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: management positions in health care facilities and other managerial activities;initiation and development of business ideas in the field of health care;managerial and advisory positions in public and private health care institutions.
4.4.Study programme: Sanitary Engineering
Upon completion of this study programme, students will acquire knowledge regarding the sanitary protection in health care facilities and services related to production and trade of food products, environmental protection, monitoring of environmental risks, sanitary engineering for utility services (such as water supply, sanitation, cleanliness).
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: sanitary engineering in health care institutions, production firms, catering and hospitality facilities, wholesale and retail, firms engaged in food production and trade, utility organizations, institutions for monitoring and control of environmental protection, ministries and institutes; managerial and organizational tasks related to sanitary engineering.
4.5.Study programme: Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Upon completion of this study programme, students will acquire knowledge regarding female biology including physiology of puberty, endocrinology, pregnancy, menopause and seminum; gynaecological diseases, pathology of pregnancy and care for gynaecological patients; pregnancy diagnosis and pregnancy monitoring, birth process and neonatal nursing.
Students will be trained to achieve competencies in order to perform the following tasks: activities performed by gynaecological nurses in the following specialist areas: patient care in hospitals, health care facilities and visiting nurse services;management and control of nursing departments ;contraception, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, health education;monitoring of the birth process and childbirth support.
