Enrolment Requirements

To enrol in the second cycle of studies, students must complete their undergraduate studies (I-III study years), obtain a diploma and a minimum of 180 ECTS credits. Students who have completed a four-year study programme (240 ECTS credits) may enrol into the fifth year of studies, i.e. the fourth year of their undergraduate studies is recognised as the first year of graduate studies.

1.     Students who have completed the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Business Economics can enrol in the second cycle of studies at the faculty of Business Economics.
Apart from students referred to in the previous Paragraph, all students who have completed three or four years of studies at the faculties of different orientations can enrol in the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Business Economics. Students are required to take examinations that are considered as differences between the curricula of other faculties and of the Faculty of Business Economics and these are set by the Commission for Examination Recognition, appointed by the Faculty Dean on the proposal of the Teaching Scientific Council.

Students who have completed four years of studies at the faculties of different orientations can enrol in the first year of the second cycle of studies, but the fourth year of their undergraduate studies is not recognised as the first year of graduate studies at the Faculty of Business Economics.
The Decision on examination differences is taken by the Dean based on the Commission’s proposal. Students are required to pass all examinations considered as differences till the end of the first semester.

2.     Students who have completed the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Law can enrol in the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Law.
Apart from students referred to in the previous Paragraph, the right of enrolment in the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Law is granted to all students who have completed undergraduate studies at the following faculties:
-      Faculty of Criminology, Justice and Policy Studies
-      Faculties related to Administration and Legal Guidance
Students referred to in the previous Paragraph can enrol in the second cycle of studies and are required to pass all examinations considered as differences set by the Commission for Examination Recognition, appointed by the Faculty Dean on the proposal of the Teaching Scientific Council.
Based on the proposal of the Teaching Scientific Council, the Faculty Dean takes the Decision on examination differences between the curricula of other faculties and of the Faculty of Law. Students are required to pass all examinations set as differences till the end of the first semester.
The fourth year of the first cycle of studies is not recognised as the first year of the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Law in cases when students have completed four years of studies at the Faculty of Criminology, Justice and Policy Studies or other faculties related to Administration and Legal Guidance.

3.     Students who have completed the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Business Informatics can enrol in the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Business Informatics.

4.     Students who have completed the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Health Care can enrol in the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Health Care.

a)     Study programme Nursery: Students who have completed three-year or four-year undergraduate programme in nursery can enrol in this study programme.
b)     Study programme Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy: Students who have completed three-year or four-year undergraduate programme in physical therapy and occupational therapy can enrol in this study programme.
c)     Study programme Health Care Management: Students who have completed three-year or four-year undergraduate programme in health care management can enrol in this study programme. Besides the above mentioned ones, students who have completed study programmes with different orientations in the area of health care can enrol in this study programme and are required to pass all examinations considered as differences set by the Commission for Examination Recognition, appointed by the Faculty Dean on the proposal of the Teaching Scientific Council.
d)     Study programme Sanitary Engineering: Students who have completed three-year or four-year undergraduate programme in sanitary engineering can enrol in this study programme. Besides the above mentioned ones, students who have completed study programmes with different orientations in the area of laboratory, biological and chemical analyses can enrol in this study programme and are required to pass all examinations considered as differences set by the Commission for Examination Recognition, appointed by the Faculty Dean on the proposal of the Teaching Scientific Council.
e)    Study programme Obstetrics and Gynaecology: Students who have completed three-year or four-year undergraduate programme in obstetrics and gynaecology can enrol in this study programme. Besides the above mentioned ones, students who have completed study programmes in nursery can enrol in this study programme and are required to pass all examinations considered as differences set by the Commission for Examination Recognition, appointed by the Faculty Dean on the proposal of the Teaching Scientific Council.

5.     Students enrolling in the fifth year of studies or the second year of the second cycle of studies are obliged to take the examination “The Methodology of Scientific Research”.

The second cycle of studies for obtaining a Master’s degree is organised upon completion of the first cycle of studies. Study cycles confer 300 ECTS credits in total, and these are distributed as follows:

-     first cycle (first to third year of study) 180 ECTS credits and
-     second cycle (fourth and fifth year of study) 120 ECTS credits

In cases where students have completed a four year undergraduate studies, the second cycle of studies lasts one year. Study cyclesconfer 300 ECTS credits in total, and these are distributed as follows:

-     first cycle (first to fourth year of study) 240 ECTS credits and
-     second cycle (fifty year of study) 60 ECTS credits
